Code of conduct

Startup Summit 2019

July 1, 2019

Thank you for choosing to come to Startup Summit, we are looking forward to spending the day with you. We really value your attendance and hope that you enjoy the day, get inspired and meet some amazing people!

We don’t have a set dress code and this is an inclusive space, so please come as yourself.

We want to make sure that our conference is a safe space for everyone and therefore we have set the following code of conduct that we expect all attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers to agree with.

If you see or experience any behaviours not in line with the code set below, please make a member of the events team aware and we will ensure that it dealt with accordingly.

Code of Conduct

Startup Summit is an inclusive and safe space.

We want to ensure that Startup Summit is a harassment-free conference experience for everyone. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

We take this very seriously so any violations of the code of conduct may result in sanctions and/or expulsion from the conference without a refund.

If you are being harassed, see someone else being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately.

Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference.
