WHAT
IS VITAMINIC? Vitaminic is Europe's leading online music
community, with a network of local language web sites in
Italy, France, UK, Spain, Germany, Holland and Sweden, and
now the USA. Vitaminic is the first and largest pan-European
digital distributor of music, and boasts the largest database
of legal MP3 files in all of Europe. Vitaminic is getting
ready for an IPO to be launched later this year, thanks
to Hambrecht & Quist and Chase Capital's recent infusion
of $US 20 million.
WHAT
IS VITAMINIC'S VALUE PROPOSITION? Vitaminic's commitment
to quality: q Providing a secure way online for record labels
and featured artists to sell their music digitally in Europe
and worldwide. q Providing the most versatile promotional
platforms online for all genres of music across Europe.
Vitaminic works with the traditional music distribution
and retail players in each territory, selling and promoting
music on the World Wide Web in each country's local language,
and celebrating the recognized Vitaminic brand Europe-wide.
HOW
DOES THIS WORK? Vitaminic works with independent artists
and more than 50 major and independent labels across Europe.
Each label or artist has access to their own Vitaminic homepage,
where they individually set their price for each track and
monitor all streaming activity and sales information in
real time, via the World Wide Web. Their personalized page
on the Vitaminic site can be used for a variety of promotional
activities, independently of or in conjunction with the
Vitaminic site. From the Vitaminic homepage, surfers can
search by genre, artist, or label to find the tracks they
want to listen to or buy from more than 20,000 tracks covering
more than 250 genres of music from ambient to reggae,
classical to zombie rock.
WHAT
DOES THE VITAMINIC PLAN PROVIDE? Musicians and record labels
have ready access to all of the tools they'll need - thanks
to the Vitaminic network in Europe -- to quickly and securely
promote and sell their own music online. In just a few minutes'
time, record labels and artists can register online at Vitaminic's
Backstage, create their own homepages, and begin to distribute
and sell their own music throughout the entire world directly
from their own computers. The Vitaminic Plan is both innovative
and simple: the artist can take advantage of a free promotional
channel, without any restrictions, as the distribution contract
with Vitaminic is not exclusive. The revenues generated
by the sales of tracks are always split 50/50 between the
artist or record label and Vitaminic. They can also take
advantage of the Vitaminic international presence by developing
virtual focus groups online. For more information on Vitaminic
USA, please contact Gianluca Grechi at www.vitaminic.com
